Acknowledging a shift in purpose and practice of design resulting from developments in new visual technologies and devices and a transition from a literary to visual society, Blum Design Research Laboratory is committed to the study and practice of design and technology in assisting demographic necessity and progressive comprehension of the field.

Laboratory: Design Research

Blum Design Research Laboratory is an experimental remote lab in which the study of design and technology is conducted to describe contemporary concepts of user visual perception and experience design. Influenced by the expansion in global interactivity and consumer markets resulting from an increase in visual communication technologies, BDRL examines interdisciplinary subjects pertaining to global visual communication and design technology.
